Eva H. "Granny B" Bridgeman, 94, of Pratt, Kan., died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Parkwood Village in Pratt, Kan. She was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Lincoln County, Okla., the daughter of Harry and Elsie (Bowman) Tucker. On June 9, 1937, she married Ross E. Bridgeman in Enid, Okla. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1985. Eva was a farm wife and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid for over 20 years. Eva was a farm wife and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid for over 20 years. The family lived in Zenda, Kan., from 1952 to 1960, then they moved back to Oklahoma. In 2000, she moved to Cunningham, Kan., and wrote a column for the Cunningham Courier. She is survived by a son, Ronald (Ruth Ann) Bridgeman of Zenda, Kan.; daughter, Donna (Karl) Werner of Zenda, Kan.; seven grandchildren, David Bridgeman, Andy Bridgeman, JeanAnn Marquez, Lisa Young, Karla Westerman, Janene Gillen and Karen Tommer; 15 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Marvin Tucker. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd., Pratt, Kan., with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding. A memorial service will also be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, 2800 N. Van Buren, Enid, Okla. Private inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. In 1939, he joined the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 11th Cavalry. He served in the European Theatre until the end of World War II. J.C. married Marthella Sallee in 1941. He was a member and past deacon of Garland Road Baptist Church. He also was a member of American Legion and VFW. In April 2000, J.C. married Ruby (McCracken) Castleman and she survives him. J.C. also is survived by two sons, Jerry Hale and Rosiale of Woodward and Douglas Hale and wife Jana of Weatherford; one daughter, Joell Gray and husband Gaylon of Purcell; two grandsons; five granddaughters; 18 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; as well as one brother, Bob Hale. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and five brothers. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Garland Road Baptist Church. Our father, Norm Carlson "Pops" of Titusville, Fla., passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015, from complications of congestive heart failure. Dad was born in Meno, Okla., on Feb. 12, 1934, and was very proud of his Okie heritage. He and mom were married for 51 years and are finally reunited in heaven. Dad was very proud of his children, Chris Carlson of Denver, Colo., Jodi (daughter) and Mike Juretich of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bobbie Lu (daughter) and Todd Turner of Titusville, Fla. Dad loved and adored his three grandchildren, Grace Carlson, Brandon Gorrell and C.J. Turner. And of course, his constant companion, Angel, his 13-year-old Westie dog. Dad was an avid fisherman his entire life. He served two years in the Army and then had a successful career with NASA, working on the Saturn, Apollo and Space Shuttle missions as launch vehicle test director and chief test director. Dad may be best remembered for his Launch Beans tradition. He started the tradition of serving "launch beans" and cornbread after every successful launch. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Indian River City United Methodist Church, 1355 Cheney Hwy., Titusville, Fla. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the church service at the Elks Lodge, 2955 Columbia Blvd., Titusville, Fla. The family will hold a private burial ceremony later in the spring. R.B. was born to Ro-bert Franklin and Bertha Lee (Cotton) Jackson on July 21, 1927, in Hunter and died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at his home in Enid. R.B. grew up in Hunter and attended schools there. R.B. grew up in Hunter and attended schools there. On July 23, 1948, he married Nadine Case in Enid. He worked in the oilfield in Midland and Odessa, Texas, area as a driller and then supervisor. Virgil is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Alice Wood Cassel, as well as their six children, 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Virgil also is survived by one sister, Irene Wilds, last of his nine siblings, and her daughter of Corpus Christi, Texas. He has numerous other relatives who mourn his passing. Virgil married Mary Alice Wood on Nov. 21, 1953. Together, they created a life that revolved around music, faith and family. He actively participated in the diverse activities of his children (and later, those of his grandchildren), attending events from musical and dramatic performances to wrestling matches and softball and basketball games. Teddy was born on Jan. 1, 1960, in Enid, the son of Teddy and Karen Crawford, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, in Enid. He was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1978. Teddy worked at Novah CB's and helped with farming for many years. Allen Joseph "A.J." White, 42-year-old Fort Supply resident, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Woodward Regional Hospital. Allen Joseph White was born April 19, 1970, in Enid, Okla., to Marilyn (Devore) White and Cloyse Paige. Allen attended grade school and high school at Jet-Nash and later attended college at Northern Oklahoma College. Allen worked many jobs, but he loved working for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. He worked for the state of Oklahoma for 14 years before going to work for Weatherford ALS, where he was a dispatcher. In December 2003, Allen married the love of his life, Joanne. They made their home in Fort Supply. Allen was an active member with ABATE and he loved riding his motorcycle. He was also a huge NASCAR fan and enjoyed race day with Jo. He also prided himself on being a Pittsburgh Steeler football fan. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Bobby was born to Garold and Betty (English) Fox on Feb. 14, 1947, in Monrovia, Calif., and passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, while surrounded by family. He was a cowboy in every sense of the word. He had a heart of gold and enjoyed raising horses. In his younger years, Bobby was a bronc and bull rider in the rodeo circuit. He also participated in team penning. Then he started up several working ranches, mostly in Texas and Florida. He was the best fence and corral builder around. On Sept. 5, 1998, Bobby married Judy Gregory. For the past 10 years, he was living his dream of being his own rancher. He always said he was a cowboy who was just born in the wrong era. But above all else, he loved his family and wanted to take care of them no matter what. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bobby is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; daughter, Traci Broomfield and husband Shannon of Enid; son, Kevin Hall of Enid; stepdaughter, Tinna Holden and husband Brent of Enid; stepson, Greg Gregory of Enid; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchilden; as well as one brother, Terry Fox of Kremlin, and one sister, Lennie Johns of Enid. Bergner, 47, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Kremlin, Okla., will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery, west of Fairview, Okla. J.D. was born March 29, 1968, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Robert and Vickie Long Bergner and passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015. He attended Buffalo schools through the seventh grade and graduated from Kremlin-Hillsdale High School in 1986. He attended Central State University and Platte College and graduated with a degree in graphic design. J.D. then attended Oklahoma City Community College, where he was pursuing a degree in literature and theatre. He attended Buffalo schools through the seventh grade and graduated from Kremlin-Hillsdale High School in 1986. He was employed by CPD-Tech-Pac for 17 years as a graphic designer and later employed by Fast Signs of Oklahoma City. He was a member of Victory Church and United Methodist Church of Buffalo, Okla., a Cubmaster for the Boy Scouts of America, was on the board of directors of the Stage Door Theatre in Yukon, Okla., and acted in numerous plays around Oklahoma City. His proudest accomplishments were being a father, directing The Little Shop of Horrors for El Reno Community Theatre and starring as Vince in Grease. He will be remembered as a wonderful son, a loving father and brother-cousin. J.D. enjoyed drawing and was a great Star Wars fan and collector of comic books. Survivors include three sons, Trower Jefferies and wife Jessica, and Eric and Andrew Bergner, all of Oklahoma City; his parents, Robert and Vickie Bergner of Kremlin, Okla.; sister, Trilby Schmidt and husband Daniel of Enid, Okla.; three grandchildren, Madison, David and Trower Jr.; his former wife, Ann Bergner; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The funeral for Jewel William "J.W." Ridge, 85, of Norman, formerly of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2008, at First United Methodist Church, Enid. The Rev. David Wiggs will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be 5-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Pleasant Hill to L. J. and Nettie Ella Harris Ridge and died Thursday, June 5, 2008, in Norman. He graduated from Haworth High School in 1941. He joined the Army and served in North Africa and Italy. After his return, he married Mary Short Sept. 15, 1945, in New Boston, Texas. In 1950, he was mobilized with his unit in the Oklahoma National Guard 45th Division to Japan and Korea. He retired from the Guard after 20 years with the rank of major. He graduated from Southeastern State University with a bachelor's of science degree in education and from Phillips University with a master's degree in education. He began his teaching career at Fanshawe High School. After they moved to Enid, he taught at Enid High School, was principal for Waller Junior High School and was superintendent of O. T. Autry Vocational-Technical Center until retiring in 1986. He was a member of Oklahoma Education Association, National Education Association, Masonic Lodge 80, Enid, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served First United Methodist Church of Enid as president of the board of trustees, as a member of the administrative board, and as a Sunday school teacher. He was also president of Enid Noon Lions Club. Surviving are his wife, Mary; three daughters, Lynn Peacher of Tulsa, Patricia Bradley of Arcadia and Cindy Baudendistel of Norman; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Memorials may be made to Autry Technology Center Foundation Jewel Ridge Scholarship, 1201 West Willow, Enid, OK 73703. MacArthur "Mac" Plummer, 73, of Kingfisher, passed away Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, surrounded by his family at Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born on April 17, 1942, the oldest of five boys, to Jerry and Roberta (Link) Plummer in a log cabin just outside of Chester, Okla. The family moved to Enid, Okla., in the early 1950s, where Mac spent the rest of his childhood. He attended Enid High School where he played football, basketball and baseball, earning all-state honors in football and baseball and second team all-state in basketball. He attended Phillips University where he received a scholarship to play basketball and baseball. He graduated with a degree in education and took a position at Waller Junior High in Enid teaching and coaching. He then took a similar position in Woodward, Okla., where he met his future wife Gerry Stolz of Kingfisher, Okla. They were married on July 24, 1971. They moved to Rolla, Kan., where they resided for 33 years. During his tenure at USD 217 in Rolla, he served as a teacher, coach and administrator. For over 10 years he taught math, driver's education and science. He was also K-8 principal for 13 years, K-12 principal for 5 years and superintendent for another 5 years. Mac started out as the assistant football coach and helped lead the 1973 team that won the eight-man state championship. The following season, he was promoted to the head coach position and coached a combined 13 years. As a result of his team's achievements, he was recognized as Coach of the Year by many publications four different seasons. He was also a coach for the inaugural 8-Man All-Star Game in 1986. Also during his time in Rolla, he coached basketball, track and summer baseball ranging from T-ball to American Legion. Mac was always an athlete and took great pride in his ability to play and coach a variety of sports. He influenced the lives of many young men who had the opportunity to call him "Coach Plummer." In 2004, Mac and Gerry retired and made their home in Kingfisher, Okla. In retirement, he spent most of his time golfing, fishing and hunting. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time spoiling his 5 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Gerry of Kingfisher; two sons: Zac and wife Chelsi of Amarillo, Texas, and Chad and wife Becky of Manhattan, Kan; four brothers: Vernon and wife Connie of Houston, Texas, Tom and wife Elaine of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jerry and wife Gay Lynn of Houston, Texas, and Buddy and wife Linda of Broken Arrow, Okla.; 5 grandchildren: Emerson, Riley, Alexander, Madelyn and Leah. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 21, at First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher and burial was in the Kingfisher Cemetery. (Submitted by family)

The funeral for Reuel Christopher "R.C." Parrish, 98, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Wade Burleson will officiate. He was born Dec. 25, 1910, in Marlow to William Matthew and Mattie Parrish and died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009. He attended Bethany Public Schools and Bethany Peniel College, where he was part of the collegiate gospel quartet for two years. He married Lillian Martha Vawter Aug. 4, 1934. She died in 1966. He married Sara Fleming Boll in 1966. He sold Electrolux vacuum cleaners and then worked for Jewel T. Co. During World War II, he moved to California and worked for Doug-las Aircraft Co., later transferring to the Midwest City plant (now known as Tinker Air Force Base). He worked for George E. Failing Co. in Enid and then Hans Gruner Rock Bit Company in Ponca City. He started Central Machine and Tool Co. in 1951 and it later became Parrish Enterprises Ltd. with five subsidiaries and 14 warehouses for PT Coupling Co. He was a member of Enid Lions Club, life member of Salvation Army Board and longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Sara; four children, Jerry Parrish of Hennessey, Jan Bergin of Richmond, Va., James R. Parrish of Enid and Linda Parrish of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
