Faye Winter Issues Reminder To Fans As Love Island Returns (2024)

Faye Winter has issued a stark reminder to fans of Love Island as the 2024 season kicked off.

The Devon beauty rocketed to fame after appearing on the 2021 season of the hit dating show, which saw her place third alongside her ex-boyfriend Teddy Soares.

Faye famously got into a heated argument with her fellow Islanders after being shown edited clips from the boys' antics in Casa Amor when they were away from their partners.

It wasn't just her partner Teddy who received the brunt of the row, however, Faye also famously turned on Irish Islander Matthew MacNabb when he protested her explosive attitude, telling him: 'Keep your mouth shut like you normally do.'

The viral moment sparked over 25,000 Ofcom complaints and saw her receive a huge amount of hate online, which she was oblivious to until she left the Majorcan villa.

Ahead of Love Island's return on Monday, Faye took to social media with a stark reminder to fans of the show that it is heavily edited and that at the end of the day, the Islanders are people like everyone else.

'Today's the day Love Island starts again. The Islanders would have entered yesterday full of excitement and ready for the summer of their lives. Let's try and keep it that way,' she said.

'Remember it's an entertainment show and you only see small snippets,' Faye continued. 'You would all moan if it was "boring".'

'Remember these people have real friends and family on the outside that also do not have access to their loved ones, this is also going to be a journey for them.'

'I would say 9.9/10 of us end up in therapy anyway for one reason or another so please don't make it any harder,' Faye warned. 'And I'm not saying therapy in a bad way before people jump on me, the show provides it and everyone is very honest about having it. It's not a taboo.'

We can't even fathom the amount of trolling Islanders are subjected to. Hopefully, this year's contestants won't experience it as much as their predecessors.
