Escape From Tarkov is all about the loot, and players that explore the maps contained within the game are constantly seeking the most valuable items. There's an economic system present within Escape From Tarkov which means that high-value raids are equal parts exciting as they are lucrative to the player, and there are a few spots in the game that are especially valuable.

For some players, the prospect of raiding as a PMC is daunting - it means that if they die, they lose everything that they entered the raid with. There's an alternative, though - players can run as a 'scav', a randomly-generated character with low-level weapons and equipment, but everything that the scav character loots while under the control of the player counts towards their overall riches. There are some locations in Tarkov that, as a scav, players must simply check every time they raid in.
7 Reserve: Drop Down Room
Originally, the 'Drop Down Room' in Reserve was supposed to be contained behind a locked door. However, there's a trick that a player can perform, which involves jumping out of a window in a specific way, that gains them access to the room even if the door is locked.
It's perfect for a scav run, as it's easy to locate, but there's no guarantee that it'll already be looted by the time the player arrives in the room. Once inside, players can marvel at the fact that literally anything can spawn here, and it's almost always a room littered with high-value tech drops.
Special Mention: Garages, where a room that holds four PCs can be found.
6 Streets Of Tarkov: LeXos Dealership
Streets of Tarkov is the newest map in the game, and it contains a somewhat secret location that is of immensely high value for players running their scav character. It's a general location in and around the LeXos Dealership, which is near the Concordia Hotel.

In the area immediately around the LeXos Dealership, players can find more than a dozen filing cabinets and countless duffel bags, medical crates, technical crates, and weapon boxes. There's a staggering amount of loot to be procured, and what's more, the site is very close to 'scav-specific' extraction location.
Special Mention: Sparja, which is close to LeXos and contains food, duffel bags, and valuable ground loot.
5 Interchange: Tech Corner
When a raid kicks off on the Interchange map, almost every player will sprint towards 'Tech Corner', a location that houses both the Techlight and Texho stores. These are locations that can spawn some of the most valuable loot in the game, but on rare occasions, they won't be touched.
If a player loads into an Interchange raid as a scav character, they can make a beeline for these tech stores, and maybe - just maybe - they'll snag a GPU or something of a similarly high value. There are countless locations around Interchange that are of great value to a scav, but these tech stores really are the most lucrative spots.
Special Mention: Goshan, which spawns dozens of food and drink items as well as 'gold spawns' in the locker room.
4 Woods: FOB Camp
On Woods, there are only a few locations really worth looting that the more mainstream audience will flock to. One of those locations is the FOB Camp located near the RUAF extraction site. It's a location that's set more or less in an open field, making it a treacherous spot to approach, but it's often worth the journey.

As a scav, the FOB is a site that should be pushed immediately, as there are dozens of med and tech spawns in the camp that can fill a backpack in seconds. It's typically located very close to extraction sites as well, meaning there's only a short journey to be had in order to escape with all that sweet loot.
Special Mention: Sawmill, where there are safes, high-value ground loot spawns, and some medical items to be scavenged.
3 Customs: Far Corner
In the 'Far Corner' area of Customs, there are three buildings grouped closely together that make for some of the best loot-gathering opportunities in the game. There is a dense concentration of 'stashes', which are hidden loot spots buried into the ground that can spawn absolutely anything.
From two rooms with PCs to gold spawns, and from massive weapons crates to a dozen toolboxes, there's so much loot to be dug up around the Far Corner extraction site. It can be a massive win for scav players, as there are three scav extraction points that sit within a 30-second run from the location, meaning they can enter the game, fill their backpacks and rigs with loot, and then leave again with relative ease.
Special Mention: Stronghold, the central point of interest on the map, which can spawn high-value items from almost every category.
2 Shoreline: The Resort
It can be a little confusing for first-time players exploring the Resort area on Shoreline, but it's ultimately very worthwhile. As the central point to the map, Resort is where almost every player will go at the start of the game, and it can make for some interesting combat scenarios.

However, for a player scav typically spawning late in the game, there's nothing but the biggest opportunity to clean up after the fights, loot any defeated PMCs, and check any rooms for missed items. It can be lucrative, as some of the most valuable items in Escape From Tarkov - such as a LEDX or a GPU - can be found in Resort.
Special Mention: Pier, which is an easy-to-find location with filing cabinets and unlocked safes.
1 Lighthouse: Water Treatment
On Lighthouse, the Water Treatment area is where the most tantalizing opportunities exist. However, it's also a location guarded by Rogues, some of the toughest enemies in the game, and even as a scav, they'll attack without even a moment's notice.
That's where a lot of the value comes from in this area, as even a scav player can take down a Rogue, which'll give them access to - quite often - some extremely valuable weapons and armor. There's also a fantastic concentration of tech, weapons, and medical boxes, and even some high-value gold spawn spots that can produce Bitcoins, Rolers, and Gold Chains.
Special Mention: Chalets, where several weapons boxes, duffel bags, toolkits, and some valuable ground loot can spawn within easy reach of infiltration sites.
